The Gotham Writers Conference was held online from October 14 to October 16. Sponsored by the Gotham Writers Workshop, the event was open to fiction and nonfiction writers as well as graphic novelists and graphic memoirists. The first two days of the conference featured panels, presentations, and social events; the third day of the conference featured pitching roundtables with literary agents. The faculty included fiction writers Mateo Askaripour, Rita Chang-Eppig, Kai Harris, and Akil Kumarasamy, and nonfiction writers John Paul Brammer and Albert Samaha. Participating agents included Noah Ballard (Verve), Naomi Davis (BookEnds), Eric Smith (P.S. Literary), Alexa Stark (Writers House), and JL Stermer (Next Level Lit). The cost of the conference was $160 for panels and presentations, $425 for the pitching roundtables, or $525 for both. Registration for the first two days of the conference was first come, first served. To attend the third day of the conference, writers submitted a query and the first 10 pages of a manuscript-in-progress. There was no application fee; applications were accepted through October 1, or until seats were filled. Visit the website for more information.
