Good Contrivance Farm offers residencies of up to four weeks year-round to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers on a Victorian farm in Reisterstown, Maryland, 25 miles north of Baltimore. Residents are provided with private lodging in a 1,200 square-foot renovated barn loft, which includes a library, bathroom, and full kitchen. Meals and transportation are not included. Residents are also invited to attend occasional readings and workshops held in the barn’s programming space. The cost of the residency is $90 for an overnight stay, $500 for a week, or $900 for two weeks. Submit a reservation form with preferred residency dates.
