The 27th annual Atlanta Writers Conference will be held from November 4 to November 5 at the Westin Atlanta Airport Hotel in Atlanta. The conference features pitch sessions, a workshop offering first-page critiques, and manuscript and query letter critiques for fiction writers, nonfiction writers, and graphic novelists. Virtual meetings will also be offered, and preconference editing consultations will be offered via e-mail. Participating publishing professionals include editors Sanaa Ali-Virani (Tor), Lesley Conner (Apex Book Company), Geoff Habiger (Artemesia Publishing),  Dianne Pearce (Devil’s Party Press), Nidhi Pugalia (Viking Books), and Alicia Sparrow (Chicago Review Press), and agents Malaga Baldi (Baldi Agency), Kat Kerr (Donald Maass Literary Agency), Bibi Lewis (Ethan Ellenberg Literary Agency), Katherine Odom-Tomchin (Folio Literary Management), and Jennifer Unter (Unter Agency). The cost of a single session or event ranges from $50 to $170; the cost of the All-Activities Package, which includes two manuscript critiques, one query letter critique, two pitch sessions, one workshop, two Q&A panels, and an optional preconference manuscript edit, is $620. Writers who are not members of the Atlanta Writers Club must purchase a yearlong membership for an additional $50 in order to register. The deadline to register for a manuscript critique is October 3. Space is limited; registration is first come, first served. The general registration deadline is November 3.
