The Focal Point is a live music venue and listening room that hosts live bands and musical acts, as well as other performances and events. The St. Louis Poetry Center hosts the Poetry at the Point reading series at Focal Point on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM.

Lan Su Chinese Garden is a nonprofit botanical garden that frequently hosts a variety of tours, workshops, demonstrations, classes, lectures and readings, performances, and exhibits. During the year, members and visitors alike have the opportunity to experience a variety of activities, which enhance visitors’ understanding of Chinese culture and provide opportunities to learn and play. All activities, unless otherwise noted, are free with membership or admission.
N7 is a creamery, cafe, and bakery that holds a regular open mic poetry event, Coffee & Poets, every second Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM. The event series is hosted by the Depot Open Mic and Lionlike Mindstate.
The Spoken Word Club of Laguna Woods is a place for writers, poets, playwrights, monologuists, and storytellers to read their work and develop new material. In our monthly meetings, members have an opportunity to read and hear others. There is a featured reader every month. Guests are welcomed to listen or read ($2 charge for guests per meeting). Light refreshments at the Redwoods Room in the Community Center on El Toro on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 1pm-3pm.
Dogfish is a monthly reading series and open mic set in a private home in St. Roch, New Orleans. Readings are free and open to the public.
Secret Loft is a welcoming performing arts venue in Greenwich Village, specializing in circus, stand-up comedy, literary events, and live music. They host a monthly open mic for poetry and prose.
Room Project is a space for women and nonbinary writers and artists to work individually and collaboratively. They offer a place for new and seasoned writers alike; for people with defined creative projects, and those whose ambitions are still evolving. The space offers a workspace with communal tables, printer, library, and access to podcast equipment with membership fees. There are also events including a regular reading series, writing workshops, and plays.
Established in 1915, the Sherbino has been the heart of Ridgway, Colorado, providing a venue for community events ranging from music to poetry. Now in a period of re-birth, the Sherbino continues to stand out as the hub of events and community activities in Ridgway and throughout Ouray County. The Open Bard Poetry Series at the Sherbino Theatre has been a space for visiting Colorado and regional poets to read since 2013. The season runs October through May, and readings are held on the first Thursday night of those months.
