I spent my career writing grant proposals and fundraising materials. Now I am working on my memoir, helping others writer their memoirs, writing personal profiles for newsletters, and blog pieces for BoomSpeak. I also have one short story about to be published in Straylight Literary Magazine. I am looking for a writing group to share ideas and writing, to motivate me to keep at it, and to inspire me.
I'm the author of two books of poetry, a poetry chapbook, and a volume of literary translation. I'm also the editor of a long-running reputable literary journal and manage several web resources for writers.
I am an M.F.A. candidate in the low-residency Creative Writing program at Queens University of Charlotte. A recently retired finance executive, I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and write primarily short fiction and creative nonfiction. My work has been previously published in Musepaper (New Millennium Writings), Hypnopomp, and in the upcoming 42-Word Stories Anthology. I have completed a linked short story collection and have started a novel.
I am looking for a writing group, either in person or virtual, to share short portions of work in progress and provide informal feedback.
