Hello!
I have written two drafts of my debut novel and am working on the third. I am looking for people with similar experience, or more experience, to help coach me into becoming a better writer and truly finding my voice as an author. I have always wanted to be a published author, and I am finally on track to do it. I am diving into this wholeheartedly, and I am just looking for likeminded individuals to swap work with to get to be better versions of ourselves. I want to grow, I want to learn, I want to be.
I enjoy reading and writing poetry, flash fiction, romance, spiritual and self-help books, cozy mysteries and more!
I earned an MFA in writing from Hamline University. I've attended the Community of Writers and Jackson Hole writers conferences. I seek a group of writers who are dedicated, serious about their craft and have workshop experience. I've completed two YA novels and an adult literary novel, which I am cureently submitting to agents. I've begun a new novel set in the middle of the 20th Century.
Ohm Journal is dedicated to publishing works of progressive literature, criticism, poetry, and art. The editors don’t make distinctions between these because they believe in the democratization of the written word.
We do not wish to publish works that merely interpret the world around us, rather works that seek to change it for the better. We desire to break down the modern information bubbles that alienate us from one another. We seek passionate expressions of lived experience and sincere attempts to grapple with substantive issues. If you, like us, yearn to create a just and equitable society—rejecting the current trajectory toward fascism and neoliberalism, or simply wish to engage with our articles, then send your stuff to submissions@ohmjournal.com and feel free to reach out to us on social media!
Hello!
I'm a Chicago based poet looking to rejoin the writing community. I am seeking spaces to read and listen to others people's work, as well as share my own.
I’m a regularly published essayist (mostly) considering creating a collection (some days) who wishes they were part of a smart contemporary constructively honest writing group (but not always.)
I am a fairly experienced and published academic writer and am venturing into fiction. (In other words, in some ways I have a relatively clear sense of how to do things, and in other ways I am a complete beginner!)
