Fterota Logia aims to encapsulate the essence of young adult literature, while also providing a space for open discussion and theorizing of the genre.

Its mission is to create a forum where new works of young adult fiction will be celebrated.

The editors want new authors and voices, those who love YA and those who hate it, those who are young—in body or in spirit—and those who have an intimate connection and understanding of young adult literature. They aim to fill the journal with insightful interviews, feature columns, and more.

We will accept any and all types of submissions – the beauty of living in a digital world is that we have unlimited digital space! – and will give each submission equal consideration.

We are dedicated to working with authors to help them reach their full potential – we will not turn pieces away without including our thoughts, edits and suggestions. We want every author, every child who puts pen to paper or adult who wants to indulge their creativity, to learn and grow.

As Read Furiously, we want to create a new generation of readers - furious readers - who view reading as a necessary part to living in this busy world. We publish original prose, graphic novels, and poetry from a diverse cross section of authors in hopes of connecting with readers from every background.

At Read Furiously we believe the publisher/creator relationship should be taken very seriously, and we do everything we can to foster it. Whether we will be working together on a single project or are planning a long term collaboration, we are looking for creators who understand our mission and share the our passion for the written word. We encourage all creators to take their time to acquaint themselves with Read Furiously, our work, and our goals for the company.

We value energy and voice and force, work that crosses borders or effaces them completely, work that enters into larger social conversations, work that lives in the world, work with calloused hands and a half-empty stomach. We think poetry is and ought to be part of our everyday lives and culture.

Submit a previously unpublished, chapbook-length (20-30 pages) manuscript of poetry using our online submission manager. The manuscript, in one PDF file, should include: a title page with the title of the book only (no contact or identifying information about the author), a table of contents page, and the text itself. Include, in the Cover Letter section of our submission manager only, a brief letter with the title of your work and your contact info, as well as a brief bio. Your name and contact information SHOULD NOT appear anywhere in the manuscript–we only want your name in the Cover Letter section itself. (Note: If your name appears in a poem, change it / falsify it / cut the poem—if your name appears anywhere in the manuscript, your entry will be disqualified.)
