Fellowships of $10,000 each are given biennially to North Carolina poets, fiction writers, creative nonfiction writers, and literary translators. Applicants must have lived in North Carolina for at least one year prior to the application deadline and may not be enrolled in an academic or degree-granting program during the fellowship year. Fellows must maintain their residency throughout the grant period. Submit up to 10 poems or 20 pages of prose, a resumé, and a statement of purpose. Literary translators should also submit the original work. The deadline is November 1. There is no application fee.
