Two-year fellowships, five in poetry and five in fiction, are given annually to allow emerging writers to develop their craft in workshops with senior faculty members at Stanford University. Each fellowship includes a $26,000 annual stipend and a tuition waiver. No degrees are required to apply, and no degrees are awarded. Submit 10 to 15 pages of poetry or a fiction manuscript of up to 9,000 words and composed of two short stories, one short story and a novel excerpt, or a novel excerpt with a $75 entry fee by December 1.
