Two prizes, valued at $5,200 each, to attend the Summer Literary Seminars program in Canada, Kenya, or Lithuania are given annually to a poet and a fiction writer. The prizes include airfare, accommodations, and tuition. The winning writers’ works are published in Walrus and Black Warrior Review. Second prize in each category is full tuition, valued at $1,950, and third prize is a portion of tuition, valued at $975. Both second and third prize winners are published in Branch (poetry) and Joyland (fiction). Tony Hoagland will judge in poetry, and Mary Gaitskill will judge in fiction. Submit up to three poems of any length or a story or novel excerpt of up to 25 pages with a $15 entry fee by February 28. Call, e-mail, or visit the website for complete guidelines.
