A prize of $5,000 is given annually for a book-length work of fiction or creative nonfiction by a writer of color published in the United States during the previous year. Authors may be of any nationality. Publishers and agents may submit three copies of a book published in 2012 with a $50 entry fee by February 1. Fee waivers are available for small presses.
