A prize of $1,000 and publication by Persea Books is given annually for a first book of poetry by a U.S. woman. The winner also receives a six-week, all-expenses-paid residency at the Civitella Ranieri Center in Umbria, Italy. Submit a manuscript of at least 40 pages with a $25 entry fee by October 31.
