Three prizes of $1,500 each and publication in Gulf Coast are given annually for a poem, a short story, and an essay. Rick Barot will judge in poetry, Ayana Mathis will judge in fiction, and David Shields will judge in creative nonfiction. Submit up to five poems totaling no more than 10 pages or a story or essay of up to 25 pages with a $23 entry fee, which includes a subscription to Gulf Coast, by April 9.
