Emerging Writer Fellowships
Three fellowships are given annually to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers. Fellows who live within a 250-mile radius of the center receive a $250 honorarium each, and others receive $500 each. Fellows also give a reading at the Writer’s Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Poets who have published no more than three books and prose writers who have published no more than two books are eligible. Submit up to 10 pages of poetry or 16 pages of prose, a curriculum vitae, and a letter of interest by April 12. There is no entry fee.
