Let me introduce myself Can't Post

My name is Ann I'm new to the site was looking for some writing jobs poetry of course. I like what I saw and decided to give it a go. Was kind of hard trying to figure out how to use the site. Any way I love to write just wrote my first poetry book "Black, Blue and Bruised" by JAY. In need of some serious help about contacts, contest, and publishing. Did I pick the right one? After reading over the contract it seems like I was used. Every time I turn around they are asking for more money that I don't have. I'm trying so hard to find my way through the endless webs of writing. Because I'm a newbie with no experience it's hard for me to find jobs and contests that I qualify for.

Re: [ladyJay] Let me introduce myself [In reply to] Can't Post

Welcome, ladyJay.

There are very few jobs for poets, except writing greeting cards and possibly advertising copy. And I'm not sure anyone here could help you with those. But we have a section for discussion of contests, and any number of topics for discussion of publishing. Jump in and start asking questions!

Re: [pongo] Let me introduce myself [In reply to] Can't Post

Just wanted to thank you for welcoming me to the fam. My husband got hurt on the job going to be out for a while. He has a hairline fracture so it hard for me to write like I use too. still having a hard time navigating because I don't have a lot of time to browse.
