New to the Speakeasy Can't Post

Hello, everyone. I am pretty new to the writing scene. I'm a graduate student at Mississippi State University and the associate editor of The Jabberwock Review. I'm currently working on my thesis in poetry. I'm looking forward to AWP in a few months. I'm also nervous because I'm waiting to hear back about my first submissions. I think it would be great to meet some fellow writers here.

Thanks, you guys. I will definitely let you know how things go. Is there a particular board for people to post acceptance announcements or to discuss the process of submission? I guess I could go poke around and find out for myself.

There's a "Sweet Smell of Success" topic, and a whole area about submissions, markets, and strategies.
