New and confused Can't Post

Hi there! I'm new to this site and am still learning all of its functionality so I'm not really sure how this works or if I'm in the right place.I'm a budding poet, but I know this is what I want to do. I want to learn receive advice and criticism and hopefully get published but have no idea where to even begin. I I just want to share my writing. If you've got any advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time!

Welcome!

This is not a good place for sharing work and criticism -- we don't do that here -- but we'll be happy to offer advice on the business side of writing, and even general advice about the art and craft of poetry. Browse through the poetry section and join the family.

Thank you, I am still getting used to this site and don't know where to begin. I followed your links and read your web page and i may be interested in your proofreading/ editing services down the road if that's possible. Thank you for your time.

Any time you want my services, just give a holler.

I think the best way to get started here is to click the button that says "Mark all read," and then just read the new messages and dip into any areas that look interesting. If you try to read everything that's ever been posted here, you'll go crazy (and won't have any time to write).

Re: [D.C. Maddox] New and confused [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm actually feeling as confused... There are so many great writers out here that it makes my palm sweat just introducing myself. I'm a poet just Out of the closet. The thought of getting my work published excites me but good advice is priceless. I'm working on my first novel too. And For the first time in my life I feel I'm in the right place.
