Glimmer Train Over a dozen writing contests in our Grants & Awards Database have deadlines this month, including Glimmer Train Press' biannual Family Matters contest, which includes a $1,500 prize and publication in Glimmer Train Stories for a story about family.

HENRI COLE WINS POETS & WRITERS' JACKSON PRIZE 


Poets & Writers is pleased to announce Henri Cole as the 2012 winner of the Jackson Poetry Prize.  

Henri Cole The prize, established in 2006 and named for the John and Susan Jackson Family, honors an American poet of exceptional talent who deserves wider recognition. The award includes a $50,000 prize, which is designed to provide what all poets need--the time and encouragement to write.
