Hi everyone!	Can't Post

I'm glad to have come across this site accidentally today, it seems to have about everything I am looking for at the moment. Although to be honest, I'm not sure exactly what I am looking for. I have never written anything before, outside of school assignments. Over the past few years the idea to write came and went as did my desire to do so. Last night I finally sat down and began to type. I didn't get very far, but at least I started, right? The story I am writing is fiction, but based on things that have happened to me in real life. Broken hearted girl goes mentally ill type stuff. What I'm wondering is what do you all do when you're faced with writers block? I haven't reached that point by any means, but I'm sure it will happen eventually. I have a few ideas and am wondering if they are along the same lines as everyone else.

I am not much troubled by writer's block, perhaps because I always have several projects going. If one of them isn't happening when I sit down to work on it, another one is.

Hello there :-) Welcome firstly. I'm new here too but things flow well here so I'll say I like this P&W too.
Writers block
Personally? I think I jsut like carrying my little steno pad and when a brain fart comes I write it down for review later. I also have at least two projects going on at one time cause I get bored easy. l also tend to leave my poetry room now and then to write some fiction or non fiction but for now and because of my short attention span I keep my little stories to a one page length. AT least I used to. But it helped me get to two and three and four pages now. A little at a time or in floods Elizibeth. What ever comes when ever it comes just get it out of your system and play with it. Have fun with it too. Don't make it a job or a chore. Let it be you when it is time to be you. :-) You'll know.

I don't experience writers block so much as I do try to force resolutions that just don't seem to work for me... But as a child I played with rocks and twigs, rusty nails and chicken feathers in the dirt behind our house and that helped me sharpen my imagination a lot. heh :-) Lucky I guess. Writing should be fun.

Thanks Yao! I agree about carrying a notepad around. I had a fantastic idea yeaterday afternoon but it was moved right out of my head as soon as something distracted me. If i"d had a notepad I wouldn't be racking my brain trying to figure it out now. I'm hesitant to be involved with more than one project at a time, I'm the type of person who always starts things but never finishes them. It's funny though that I already have 2 good ideas that I can develop for other writing projects.

Your childhood toys sound similar to mine: mud, ditch water, and crayfish. :o)
