Greetings from Baltimore Can't Post

Hello everyone!
I am new to Speakeasy and relatively new to the writing community in general. I have had some poems published in literary journals. I am currently putting together my first book of poetry and working on a novel. I don't know many other writers though and I would very much like to connect with some.

I am a doctor, in academic Internal Medicine, so I know a fair amount about publishing research but hardly anything about the literary world. If anyone has any advice on getting a first book of poetry published or finding an agent for a first novel, I would appreciate it!

If you would like to know more about me, you can check out my blog at http://teawithdrtabor.blogspot.com. I look forward to meeting some poets and writers!
Best regards,
Tabor Flickinger

Welcome, Tabor. I believe we have another Marylander or two hanging around here. (My brother-in-law was a native Baltimorean.)
