I'm brand new here. I've been writing stories and poetry my whole life. I've been writing a novel for the past few years. I've just recently gotten serious about it. Do I want to finish this thing or not? I decided I did. I joined a writing group. We meet once a week. I love my writing group and they all really love my work. I'm getting amazing feedback from them.
The novel is general fiction. I'm about 2/3 of the way through the rough draft. I've discovered that I am really good at creating believable characters, creating realistic dialouge, and creating tension.
My weaknesses? I'm naturally lazy, so I have to force myself to write. I'm also not big on setting. Setting bores me. I always want to skip through it as fast as I can and just get on with the scene. LOL!
