Book Publishing Can't Post

I would like suggestions about what to send to the publishers and or agents...I have a 90,000 word novel. After the Fact. (mystery). Should I send the entire MS or query and or synopsis and query. I have been using the Writer's Market. They say to send certain things, but I am unclear how to go about it. I have sent out poetry and have been published, but I would hate to hurt my chances by doing something wrong. Any ideas...Thank You.

I suggest you ask this question in the Fiction area. You're more likely to get good answers on fiction questions there.
