Hi IcyBreeze and welcome to P&W! Pongo means Zoetrope.com., which was originally set up by Francis Ford Coppola as a critique site for writers. It's very active, with over 200 short stories to critique during any given month. It's a bit of a free-for-all and the quality of the critiques is mixed but there are some very good writers who give excellent feedback. The trick at Zoetrope, as it is here, is to spend some time on the site and get to know the regulars. Zoetrope does not have the most user-friendly home page. To register (most serious writers do use our real names) click on "join now", under the picture of the virtual studio up in the upper right hand corner. Joining will allow you to open a private office, to which you can invite other members to discuss joint projects. You must critique five (or was it seven? I don't remember) short stories before you are allowed to post yours. You can post and give feedback in return on not just short stories, but also poems, novellas, short screenplays, and flash fiction. Reviews are rated by the authors. You'll know you've built a reputation when you're invited to join another writer's office. That's where the real work gets done, with short craft classes, more intense critiquing, and occasional joint projects. Do consider joining Zoetrope for critiquing, and continue to participate in our discussions at P&W.
