Hello all. I've been receiving the PW newsletter for a while and figured I would register for the forums. As an editor for a literary magazine, I'm more here for questions on the industry and the craft in general rather than specifics on my own writing (which needs a lot of work, don't get me wrong). You could call it networking if you wanted to sound professional. I like to call it nibbling, just because nibble is a cute word.
I've only ever published one poem, and it was in a magazine that nobody has heard of, but I'm still working on it. I'm sort of taking a break over the summer just to breathe and plan on returning to writing back in the fall. I have a novel that's sitting alone in a dark corner toward the back of my head, maybe behind my ear. For the summer I'd like to focus more on "business" ventures and getting my 'zine out there. That's not to say I'm going to blatantly advertise. I'm willing to swap links with anyone--it's all about mutual backscratching. I'm just here to learn and get to know other writers, really.
Anyway. Cheers. Good to meet vous*.
*It still irritates me that there is no equivalent of "you plural" in the English language, other than "y'all" or "yous guys" which just don't fit here.
