I did my undergrad at Sarah Lawrence. It's a beautiful campus and a wonderful school. I'm doing my mfa elsewhere but I love that place as an academic and artistic institution.

Also, has anyone heard anything from Arkansas about fiction acceptances?

Davis McCombs called me yesterday morning to tell me I'm in at Arkansas for fiction. The funding looks really good (TA, fellowship, full tuition waiver), but it's a four-year program in a town I've never seen, so that makes me a bit nervous.

Congratulations! I'm jealous. Don't worry about Fayetteville. It's a great town. Actually, most of northwestern Arkansas is beautiful. I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else in the state, though, but that's just me.

I lived in Fayetteville for four years while I finished my undergrad work and loved it. There are a lot of great places to eat and stuff to do. Plus, the town is just gorgeous. In my opinion, it's big enough, without being too big. For instance, traffic is only really bad during home games (so I wouldn't recommend venturing outside your residence). Hope this helps. Again, congratulations!

Accepted today via mail to Pacific University (low-residency MFA) and via phone to University of San Francisco with an offer of partial funding. Sorry to add that I'm not certain if the latter has made all of its calls/notifications.

sevenwrite, i think today they notified the people that were offered funding. i heard that they are still reading applications, but i could be wrong about that. hang in there (says one with no fingernails left) ;-)

San Diego State [In reply to]	Can't Post

Received an acceptance email from San Diego State. Not my top choice, but they are offering me an out of state tuition waiver. In the meantime still waiting on U Washington's decision, waitlisted at Wisconsin and Oregon.
