Private Message Notifications Can't Post

The site has changed. Do we still receive notification? If so, what does it look like, exactly?

There's an envelope icon on the far right of your screen but, no it doesn't seem to indicated when you've received a message.

That would be a tech question for Jason to answer when he comes through.

Sorry about that. The new message indicator is working now. I'll have to fix the positioning later.

I do know that the e-mail notifications have been working.

Hey, I've got another question about PMs...it looks like you can send an attachment, but when I've tried, it hasn't worked. Did I screw up, or is something wrong with the function?

I don't think there's anything wrong with it, but I'll check it out.

Is there a size limit? It was a bit of an epic (well, for a poem, anyway...actually only about five pages).

Wendy, I've had no recent problems sending five-page attachments. Hit 'Browse', locate and double-click the appropriate file on your computer, and wait for the text to show up in the 'Attachment' window (i.e. C/Documents and Settings,' etc.), then click 'Upload Attachment'. Then 'Send' or 'Reply', of course.

Sorry if this sounds reductive. I used to hit 'Upload Attachment' first, assuming the document would send with only the text in the 'Attachment' window.

I had tried that, but I got some error message when I tried to upload it, so I just sent it without uploading it. Hmm. Maybe it was a temporary glitch. I'll try it again some other time. (The recipient ended up providing me with an email addy, so that one's already taken care of.)

Aren't 'puters fun?
