Santa Barbara Book & Author Festival:
P&W will be taking a booth at the Santa Barbara Book & Author Festival, a day of panels, book signings, and poetry events. Be sure to stop by for a complimentary copy of Poets & Writers Magazine, plus other literary doo-dads (i.e. bookmarks and pens). The festival takes place Sat., Sept. 30, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Santa Barbara Central Public Library and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. California Writers Exchange Contest:
The submission period for the California Writers Exchange Contest closed on Aug. 31. The contest awards one poet and one fiction writer from California with an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City in Spring 2007 to give a public reading and meet with top literary professionals. West Hollywood Book Fair:
