Re: [AbbigailRosewood] Columbia admits Fall 2012 [In reply to] Can't Post

I'd say it's more of a craft-oriented personal response/analysis. Someone posted some great advice about a page earlier in this thread, but here's the short cut: http://www.pw.org/...i?post=287663#287663

Also what does a response to a literary works consist of? Is it just a regular literary analysis?

Re: [watermelonsugar] Columbia admits Fall 2012 [In reply to] Can't Post

Thank you so much! And do you know anywhere I can go to read works from students admitted to Columbia such as yourself :D? I'm curious as to what is the quality they are looking for. I go to a small school in Southern Oregon so even there is not a lot of competition or even writers who want to write seriously. It's difficult to gauge where I am. If you don't mind or have some free time, could you read my story here:

and let me know what you think? I will have another one published soon at Green Hills Literary Lantern by Truman State University and I'm thinking about submitting that one to Columbia but it's not up yet. I would love to hear your opinion on that one too.

Best regards,

Abbi
