There seems to be some confusion about access to posting in the "Announcements & Introductions" thread. David seems to be right (in the exchanges quoted below), that no one can post in it, but is he right that it is intentionally so, that it is "archived?" The response to another person attempting to post there just five or six weeks ago seems to the contrary. If it is intentionally so, perhaps a sticky note or something to alert patrons, particularly new patrons, would help. Today, in Fiction: Evidently, I'm not allowed to post messages in the Introductions section, so I'll do it here. David's response It's not just you. No one can post in the Introduction section -- it's an archive, not an active board. http://www.david-m-harris.blogspot.com From back in November, now in the Announcements & Introductions: I've been trying to post this in announcements & Introductions, but everything there so No Post. I've also had a heck of a time getting user id and password worked out, so I hope I'm on the right track. the response: Welcome to the Speakeasy, Diane. I'll go ahead and move this over to introductions I'm not sure why you're having trouble posting there). I hope you get your technical issues resolved and if you have any questions, please ask!
