Poets & Writers Newsletter Can't Post

Poets & Writers Inc.

On to Seattle

Our Readings/Workshops program recently expanded to include Seattle. This is a direct result of our early success in building an endowment to support the expansion of the program to six additional cities, including Atlanta, where P&W began supporting events earlier this year.

In addition to Atlanta and Seattle, the program continues to help pay the fees of writers giving readings and workshops in New York, California, Chicago, and Detroit.

September is back-to-school month, and for writers it's often a time to begin applying for grants and awards. There are a whopping 33 grants and awards with deadlines between September 15 and October 14, including a nonfiction prize sponsored by Graywolf Press and a new award from Black Warrior Review.
