I was hoping someone out there may have some insight (from experience) on the following MFA programs: Brown, Naropa, and San Francisco State. For me, deciding on an MFA has always been related to matching the poets I most admire up with a university—Brown = Waldrops, Creeley, Maso, Naropa= Hollo, Jarnot, Waldman, and SF State= Hoover, Myung Mi Kim. My new concern, as I submit my applications, is the totality of the experience, e.g., the town, student body, resources for poets, and also, the experience for graduates after leaving their respective program(s).
If You Were to Choose: Poetry MFA
Any comments or info. are much appreciated.
