If You Were to Choose: Poetry MFA Can't Post

I was hoping someone out there may have some insight (from experience) on the following MFA programs: Brown, Naropa, and San Francisco State. For me, deciding on an MFA has always been related to matching the poets I most admire up with a university—Brown = Waldrops, Creeley, Maso, Naropa= Hollo, Jarnot, Waldman, and SF State= Hoover, Myung Mi Kim. My new concern, as I submit my applications, is the totality of the experience, e.g., the town, student body, resources for poets, and also, the experience for graduates after leaving their respective program(s).

Any comments or info. are much appreciated.

J.

The food is a lot better in San Francisco than in Boulder or Providence.

I think I read that D.A. Powell is joining the faculty of SF State in 2005.

I wonder if he is replacing Myung Mi Kim, since she is currently at SUNY of Buffalo, I believe, and may be staying for some time.
