Connection to Speakeasy Can't Post

Jason,

This may not be a problem that you can do
anything about. It could be my computer,
but it so new, with such fast connection
that I am puzzled.

I am having real trouble holding a connection
to Speakeasy, and when I post, sometimes
the apparatus grinds for five minutes or longer,
never giving me confirmation of the post.

I usually find that the post has gone through,
but is there something I can do to maximize
my connection?

Any slow responses aren't likely to be caused by your system or your connection. Slow responses from the Web server or, more likely, the database server would be my first guess. If you can note when the problems occur and let me know, it would help to solve them.

I can think of a couple of times over the last week when response was slow and tracked down the source. If you continue to experience problems, there may be some other cause.

Re: [jason] Connection to Speakeasy [In reply to] Can't Post

Thanks, Jason,
I tend to think the problem
has most to do with
our Internet server and
the router we are using
at home. The hubby
worked more on the problem,
and we have a few solutions
worked out. Our IP doesn't
like networked home computers,
so we've had to work out
problems mostly alone.

I am doing some better.
Thanks for taking time
to respond!
