Congrats on Vermont and Lesley! I also got accepted to Lesley.

Sounds like a great program. Which way are you leaning? Or are you still waiting to hear back?

Re: [sarah_sophia] LSU [In reply to] Can't Post

As a LSU alum, I had no clue their MFA program offered such a fantastic deal. Sheesh! Looks like I may revise my list and possibly return to Baton Rouge for the MFA. Regardless, I've been reading this forum for almost two years now and, let me say, congratulations to all of you! Although I won't apply for the MFA for another two or three years, I get an idea of what to expect. Any prospective MFAers heading to LSU who want information on the school and overall feel for Baton Rouge (including cheap places to live), send me a PM.

Again, congratulations!

help [In reply to] Can't Post

This is my first post, but I have been lurking here for quite some time.
I have been accepted to both CalArts and Emerson so far, and now I feel utterly confused. I honestly didn't think I would be accepted to more than one school--if any. I still have 6 to hear back from, but I really have no idea where I want to go. Can you guys give me some feedback on both CalArts and Emerson. Thanks!

Congrats!

Also delurking, to say that I got into Emerson and Mason. I'd also love to hear anyone's thoughts on either of those schools.

Thanks much. This forum has been an amazing support throughout the process.

University of Missouri - St. Louis [In reply to] Can't Post

FIIIIINAAAAALLLLYYYYYYYY

I just got an email from Mary Troy saying I am one of 7 poetry acceptances at University of Missouri - St. Louis! Should have word about TAships in 3 weeks.

WOOOO!

I feel like I can stop all my whining and complaining now. Still have 8 programs to hear from, though!

UC Davis [In reply to] Can't Post

Accepted to UC Davis via email for fiction!

I'm pumped! Especially after 5 consecutive rejections (and basically no chance at Michener). So, if you haven't heard, yet, here's proof that it still could be coming.

Actually the way it went down was odd. I got an email last night from the Davis graduate coordinator inviting me to come to the campus for a visit, subsidized by the university. I thought that they only offered that type of visit to people who've been accepted. I emailed them asking if I'd been accepted, but had to wait all morning because I'm on east coast time. Turns out they hadn't notified me because they were still trying to line up all my funding. So, it's looking good for partial, maybe even full funding with a job!

Congrats! I'm currently in the program for poetry at University of Washington. I've been lurking here (creepily) to see who's been accepted.

For anyone else wondering if they've been accepted: I'm actually sitting in the office area now and the phone keeps ringing with people asking for news. Judy (the one who receives the calls) keeps saying that she does not know anything yet. I guess the information hasn't traveled back to the office yet.

Re: [gasolinefight] Washington [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm one of the ones who called earlier U of Washington this afternoon ... I guess it was Judy who was very nice and told me that the committee was making its final decisions at the moment (as Stewart's good news indicates) and that notifications should occur in the next 10 days. She said those accepted would be called or emailed, and those not accepted would receive an email from the graduate school.

So I'm still waiting anxiously for a call, but at least I haven't gotten a rejection email!

For those of you who applied to the University of Washington I have a question. When you applied, did you receive any email confirmation? I was just going through old emails and realized I never did. I was wondering whether they ever got my application. Ach! Anyone know?
