There are two accounts to check with Wisconsin. Here https://www.gradsch.wisc.edu/eapp/eapp.pl you can go and access the direct link to your admission status, you just need to put your campus ID which is provided when you enter the page.
There is another link,
Graduate Studies Applicant System , where you can see whether your application is complete.
I have a question, if you know the answer, please spare me - did you confirm that Wisconsin posted all rejections except for those 30? Or more rejections are on the way tomorrow, the day after tomorrow...?

When I talked to the woman, she said that she wasn't directly related to the process, so she couldn't be sure. She said that she had a pile of the first round rejection letters ready to send out today, and that she knew that someone had entered in the refusuls early that day. She said that if my status hadn't changed, then it meant that I was probably still being considered.

You can also go to their mfa creative writing website and read the letter they've posted to that effect. I've developed restless leg syndrome.

On their website its said that the "refusal" letters were sent out last Friday... May be they were signed last Friday and sent out today? LOL I am sure its better to get refusal today compared to be among those 30 and then end up in 24 unlucky ones, who still didnít get in... Damn, they torture me with hope!

Actually, the number 30 was taken from a blog a few weeks ago and could be wrong. I'm wondering about that number because the letter says that it will accept or waitlist all of the remaining finalists. 24 seems like an awfully large number to waitlist for 6 positions, doesn't it?

Oh, please stop torturing me with even bigger hope.. Now I will start thinking I am in top 20 or so.. And then if I get "refusal" tomorrow, you will owe me Jack and seven, ok? Just kidding:))))
I have no idea about Wisconsin and I cannot call, because I am not native English speaker and have an accent. I donít want them to know how heavy it is. Only you guys can call and tell little foreigner what is going on:)

Anyone else? [In reply to] Can't Post

Just wondering if I'm the only graduate student playing "the waiting game." I'm dying to know who is coming to my program next year!

I think graduate applicant obsessiveness becomes a circadian cycle after awhile. (Reading all of these posts also makes my stomach hurt because I'll be in for the whole application process again for the PhD. Ugh.)

Anyway, good luck all!

The number 30 is correct. I spoke with them on the phone last week and was told that they'd be whittling it down to 30 for the first round, sending out letters to those that didn't make it, and then taking it from there.

famed WI rejection site [In reply to] Can't Post

Dear Dickens,
Where did you see this rejection? Was it on the "admissions status" page for which you have to enter your 10-digit campus ID?

I'm sure you're disappointed, Man, but it ain't over yet... Also, you indicated you that were an undergrad, which means you're young yet and have lots of time. As it is, if I get accepted to a program this year, I will be 30 years old when I graduate. If I don't get in this year, I'll be even older. Not that 30 is ancient, but it's a little long in the tooth for someone who would really like to get on with her life and start a family.

Well, actually though I'm finishing my undergrad, I'm what they call a nontraditional. I'm 32.
Go here to check your status: https://fpm-www3.fpm.wisc.edu/gradapply/

30 itís a lot for only 6 spots... Plus none promised we are in top 30. May be clerk at Wisconsin didnít have time to put in all refusal at once... May be more to come tomorrow... I am afraid to fly in my dreams, it would hurt more to fall..

How do you get into this Wisc site? https://fpm-www3.fpm.wisc.edu/...bid=65&ctl=Login

How do you know your login and password. I got in to the other sit4e (https://www.gradsch.wisc.edu/applicants/status.html) and it just says that my application has been received.

Help! UW is my number one choice, so if it's time to give up the dream I need to know!
