Well, although I've been accepted to my favorite program, the MFA dreams are still coming. I blame this on still waiting to hear about funding--and expecting rejections from the rest of the schools I applied to. I've received three things in the mail confirming my acceptance, an email, and phone calls. However, I dreamt last night that I got a letter saying, "We've decided to reject you. We found numerous errors in your statement, including three misuses of the word truly." What? Then it went on to praise my work and tell me places to try to get it published. Still, they didn't want me. When will this all be over? ***edited to say: I received a rejection in the mail from Colorado State today (poetry). The letter was very short with a signature image, not a real signature. However, there was also a form attached "Notification of Application Denial" with possible reasons for being denied (test scores, or missing materials, etc.) and check boxes beside each reason. My checked reason was exactly what the letter said, there are limited spaces available. However, it did have a real check mark made in real pen ink, and an actual signature. It doesn't bother me since I already know what I want to do, but I thought the additional form was very odd.
