This may be wrong, but I have heard from someone at Brooklyn that they took the program part time?

But the thing is that NYU specifically permits students to take as little as one class per semester, and Hunter specifically, unless I misread it, does not permit this. It's not a question, only, of class times and so on, it's how part-time you can be, and Hunter won't have it. Again, unless I misread it, which, actually, I doubt. I was very disappointed earlier in this process when I found out the same about Brooklyn and the new program at Queens College. I spoke with the heads of each program and they were clear that you have to enroll as a full-time student. Yes, the classes are at night, but you're required to take a full load.
And yeah, I know that City hill, and I did wonder how hard it must be in icy conditions.
