Hey, Morgan! IF you do decide to apply to additional schools, even if you aren't able to investigate them as thoroughly as your original 11, at least do enough research to make sure you'd be happy at any of the schools you add. I know that there are schools throughout the selectivity spectrum that have awesome programs, amazing faculty and dedicated student poets. So I know there are some "unranked" schools out there that you could be happy at. I'm just saying that I think you need to verify this as much as you can before you apply to any of them. Because (God forbid!) what if you end up only being accepted by one of your late additions and, emotionally distraught from other rejections, you end up accepting that offer. You want to make sure it's a place that you'll actually be happy at. You're an awesome poet, so I'm not saying this doomsday scenario is likely. I'm just saying, what if... You know? I also want to suggest a late-term option: Trinity College Dublin. The application due date is March 1st. There are some drawbacks... It's only a year long program and it's unfunded. But you could probably find fellowship funding for the program and IT'S AT TRINITY F*CKING COLLEGE IN DUBLIN! AT THE F*CKING OSCAR WILDE CENTER! What?!?! F* yeah! You know, I love the Irish poets so I'm biased. But just think of the effect that a year of writing and working with tutors at the premier university in Ireland could have on your work. Finally, one more thing to keep in mind, you've applied to 11 schools and you only need to get into one. Just one. So there's no need to panic.
