Re: [Trilbe] The Waiting Game...Have you heard yet???
What genre are you in?
How long have you been workshopping/writing seriously?
I was pretty serious in High School, but didn't take a workshop or really work at it until my last two years of undergrad.
Are you published?
a little. Caketrain, elimae, robot melon, etc. Haven't sent out stuff in about a year, because I realized how important it was for me to really back whatever I "put out" there, and I have been focusing on applications, anyways.
What did you do to prepare your pieces for your applications?
Sent out many of them to a few writer friends. Re-wrote and let them all sit for awhile, and then re-wrote again.
Were you an active part of the writers' networking communities/did you meet influential people at the schools before the apps?
Just a few writer friends, a couple professors from college, and a few writers that I happened to meet out and about at events. Not super active any communities.
