Conundrum Press

Conundrum publishes poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction — both essay and long-form works — primarily from authors who live in the Rocky Mountain region. As we branch out from poetry into other literature, we’re looking for thoughtful, provocative, and lucid writing that tells a compelling story.

Convulsive Editions

Convulsive Editions is a micro-press that publishes affordable, well-designed chapbooks, broadsides, french folds, and other printed matter featuring lyrical writing that quakes and rattles. We take our name from André Breton who suggests the idea of "convulsive beauty" in Nadja: “It consists of jolts and shocks, many of which do not have much importance, but which we know are destined to produce one Shock, which does.” We are especially interested in promoting the work of early career poets.

Cooper Dillon Books

Cooper Dillon is a small poetry press committed to upholding the virtues of Poetry as a high art and expression of truth, beauty, and sincerity: the values that make poems timeless. We are dedicated to honesty, self-sufficiency (we don't take grants, government funding, endowments, donations or money from our authors), community building and evolution of the art form.

Crisis Chronicles Press

We're flexible and have broad taste. Though most of our books in print are poetry chapbooks, we remain open to publishing anything the editor loves. We're in a phase now where we're partial to manuscripts of fewer than 20 pages each.

Curbside Splendor Publishing

Curbside Splendor was conceived as a punk rock band in the early 1990s in an apartment in Urbana, Illinois. The band never really went anywhere, but Curbside was re-founded as an independent press in the fall of 2009. We're located in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. We publish fiction, creative non-fiction, and poetry that celebrate art, urban life, and extraordinary voices.
