Homebound Publications

It is the intention of those at Homebound Publications to revive contemplative storytelling and introduce a new mythology that will directly aid mankind in the trials we face at present. The stories humanity lives by give both context and perspective to our lives. Some old stories, while well-known to the generations, no longer resonate with the heart of the modern man or address the dilemmas we currently face as individuals and as a global village. Homebound chooses titles that balance a reverence for the old wisdom; while at the same time presenting new perspectives by which to live.

ILOANBooks

ILOANBooks is a publishing collective
specializing in low circulation prose poetry, often with illustrations or photography. We take pride in publishing brilliant, and perhaps unmarketable, literature. We also publish electronically, posting poetry and stories that we are not prepared to print.

Jaded Ibis Press

Jaded Ibis Press publishes innovative (experimental, avant-garde, hybrid, cross genre, multimedia) works of literature. We research and publish narratives that represent a continuum of literary history and the future of narrative arts – from clay tablets and illuminated manuscripts (history) to interactive and brain computer interfaces (future). Our intent is to facilitate the convergence of diverse media and art forms with technology, and give wide exposure to literary, visual and musical artists of exceptional talent.

Mayapple Press

Mayapple Press is a small literary press founded in 1978 by poet and editor Judith Kerman. We focus on literature not often celebrated by either the mainstream or the avant-garde. This includes poetry which is both challenging and accessible; women’s writing; Great Lakes/Northeast literature; the immigrant experience; science fiction poetry; Jewish literature; and poetry in translation.

MilSpeak Books

MilSpeak Books, the nonprofit EBook publishing division of MilSpeak Foundation (501c3), publishes creative works by military people. By developing new audiences, creating new avenues for delivery, and encouraging creativity among military people, MilSpeak Books aspires to make creative works by military people directly relevant to the public, while diminishing the military stereotype, assisting military people assimilate their experience through writing, preserving the history of everyday military life, and increasing civilian understanding about military life.

New Rivers Press

New Rivers Press is interested in literary work of every character, but especially in diverse work that's aesthetically challenging and has a social conscience. Our Many Voices Project competition (Sept. 15 - Nov. 1) seeks the best new literary prose and poetry from new and emerging writers. Our Electronic Book Series (July 1 – Sept. 1) seeks manuscripts in popular fiction genres. During open submissions (April-June), we are interested in reading the best work from writers in all stages of their careers. Founded in New York in 1968, the not-for-profit Press has now published over 330 books.

Parallel Press

Parallel Press, an imprint of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Libraries, publishes print and digital publications featuring new works of scholars, researchers, and poets. These publications represent an ongoing commitment by the Libraries to scholarly communication as a contribution to the Wisconsin Idea and in support of the outreach mission of the university.

Parlor Press

We are especially interested in collections that use language to dramatize a singular vision of experience, a mastery of craft, a deep knowledge of poetic tradition, and a willingness to take risks. The series is oriented toward free verse, but we will happily consider other forms.
