Editorial Focus

Civil Coping Mechanisms (CCM) is a DIY kind of press. We take the same level of angst as our brethren in shunning those that would be in the immediate position of neglecting our efforts as artisans. Why not do it our way? We want literary objects infused with otherness: So new, so different, that they renovate our notion of what literature can be.

Tips From the Editor

We are always looking for innovative fiction. We prefer to see completed work so no excerpts or proposals. Short story collections rank fairly low on our list of demands. We would prefer to see something whole rather than in bits and pieces.
