In 2009, the single "Anthem for Green England" was played on BBC-Radio, reaching number five on the UK digital charts. David's poems and stories have appeared in a number of US and UK magazines. He considers himself one of the crusaders of the open mic scene and it gives him great satisfaction in helping other artist reach a larger audience.
