PEN American Center is currently undertaking a complete overhaul of PEN.org . Each year, PEN.org attracts millions of visitors worldwide. Visitors find literature, audio, and video from some of the world’s most provocative writers. The new web site will make thousands of pages more readily available to PEN’s audience.
The Online Publications Interns will work with the Web Editors to migrate manuscripts and multimedia to PEN’s new web site. Interns will gain valuable experience in digital publishing, content management systems, and basic HTML, as well as multimedia production and archiving.
Previous web experience is not necessary. Excellent copy-editing skills and strict attention to detail are a must. Experience with Photoshop and HTML is helpful though not required.
This is a short-term, intensive internship during September and October. We are seeking candidates to start ASAP and work full-time (or a minimum of four days per week) for one- or two-month terms.
E-mail a cover letter and resume to Lilly Sullivan .
