This program has partnernships with the Flea Theatre, the Poetry Society of America, Archipelago Books, and the Queens Central Library. It works with the Poetry Society of America to host the New Salon Reading Series. Students may apply for residencies at the Louis Armstrong Archive House.

Opportunities are available for students to earn an Advanced Certificate in English Language Teaching for work abroad. Students are also encouraged to do cross-genre work.
