Autumn House is a 501c3 (nonprofit) corporation which has the mission of publishing poetry and other fine literature. In the belief that a book is not only a readable text but also an object of art, the press is dedicated to producing beautifully designed, well-manufactured books on acid-free paper, as well as electronic texts of comparable quality. To these ends, the press will seek out the best possible book designers, illustrators, poets, writers, and editors.
We ask that all submissions come through The Autumn House Poetry Prize or the Autumn House Fiction Prize, our annual manuscript contests. Here are the guidelines for both contests: -- The winners will receive book publication, $1,000 advance against royalties, and a $1,500 travel grant to participate in the 2009 Autumn House Master Authors Series in Pittsburgh. -- The deadline is June 30.
