Washington Writers' Publishing House is a non-profit organization that has published nearly 80 volumes of poetry and fiction since 1975. The press sponsors an annual competition for poets and fiction writers living in the Washington-Baltimore area.
We only publish work from writers who live in Washington, D.C., Maryland, or Virginia within a 75-mile radius of the U.S. Capitol. We are a collaborative press staffed entirely by volunteers and so winning authors are also expected to become active members working in book production, design, promotion, editing, etc.
