Arkansas Writers MFA Program

This program features a new writing-intensive studio program with an emphasis on writing pedagogy and publishing. Visiting Writers hold master classes with writing students, and give a free public reading/talk for the campus and community.

Students have the opportunity to pursue internships with local arts organizations, nonprofits, nationally recognized literary magazines. In addition, a special course in “Getting the Most Out of the MFA” helps students to maximize their time in the program as they develop as writers and artists. Other features include the Big Bear Writing Project and the ArkaText festival.
