826LA is a non-profit organization that supports students ages six to eighteen in their expository writing skills, and helps teachers inspire their students to write. The center provides after-school tutoring, evening and weekend workshops, and assistance with student publications. The Mar Vista and Echo Park locations hold readings, writing panels, and fundraisers with well-known authors and celebrities.
