Communion

Communion is not affiliated with any literary school or movement. We simply publish what moves us. Emotionally. Intellectually. While the magazine is not thematic as such, we lean toward work that in some way reflects the concept of communion – with others, self, the world at large etc.

concīs

concīs is an online and e-pub journal devoted to brevity: the succinct, pithy, condensed, laconic, crisp, compressed and compendious. It’s simple in approach and simple in design…but not simple-minded. Genre—if you believe in such labels—is unimportant: poems, prose poems, flash fictions, micro-essays, reviews in miniature, sudden fictions, haiku, tanka, American Sentences, insights, epigrams, the unclassifiable…they’re all good.

Contra Equus Niveus

“CONTRA EQUUS NIVEUS” (“Against the White Horse”) is a poetic attempt to advance our sight beyond the imaginative blockade of what the prophet Ezekiel and the poet Blake called the “Covering Cherub,” through publishing compositions that act against the imposing egoism and phenomenological limitations of our fallen world. As an attempt to defeat that age-old conqueror, we consider the first Horseman of the Apocalypse riding gloriously into the empire he has both built himself and was sent to destroy.
